Went for a one day tour to Johor organised by my mum's company yesterday with my parents, my mum's colleagues and Anthony. Enjoyed ourselves very much but as compared to the previous one, think i prefer the first cos the first one includes sightseeing trips to mangrove swamps for fireflies, ostrich farm and also fruits farm. However think that depends on one's interest, personally i prefer sightseeing to shopping.

Anyway our first stop yesterday was to Tunku Aminah for our breakfast in a small coffee shop. Had yong tau foo noodle soup while my parents and Anthony had prawn mee soup. And A also ordered dim sum for us so its was quite a sumptous spread of breakfast. Proceeded to two local products shops later on for tau sau piah, cuttlefish and some preserved fruits which i suppose are the local delights. Wasnt able to buy lots of things cos the shop is so crowded and besides that i dont see the need to buy that much since u can easily find these things in Singapore.

Anyway we boarded the bus afterwards and proceeded to our next destination for durian lunch!Yes its durian cum mangosteen cum rambutan buffet lunch. Basically u can eat all u can and there is even this person down there in charge of helping u open up the durian, so our duty is just to finish up the durian before he opens another one. Its was quite fun cos not only u can have an unlimited supply of durian, there was also this pile of mangosteens and rambutan for u to eat. But durian wasnt my cup of tea so i only ate a little but ended up eating lots of mangosteen cos i heard that mangosteens are loaded with antioxidants which i suppose will make me look younger. Haha As for my dad and Anthony, think they really had a durian feast esp A cos he is too full to even walk.

Afterthat, we took 1 and half hours bus ride to kukup. Was a bit disappointed when we reach kukup cos initially we wanted to take the boat ride to the kelongs for some sightseeing on self expenses but there werent enough people to book the whole boat cos the aunties and uncles prefer to shop. So we ended up shopping instead and worst come to worst, there werent much things to shop except some local delights, agar agar and tibits. Shopped for half hour there before we proceed to Jusco at Aeon Tebrau City.

At Jusco we were only even 1 hour time to shop but it isnt enough time at all. Besides that Jusco is even bigger than our Vivo City. Anyway, Anthony and i decided to shop on our own cos the rest of the aunties and uncles prefer to have a coffee break. Shopped around but the shops there were selling mostly branded stuffs such as guess, dockers, CK, Espirit etc etc which makes me feel like shopping in Suntec City. He treated me ice cream and we continued shopping for stuffs until some mishaps happens. I just cant imagine that my scandals snapped apart at that point of time so we went to shop for my scandal instead. Luckily i managed to got one from Vinnci which was quite comfortable and cheap too. haha There was only 10 mins left so we decided to queue up for some dunkin donuts and all thanks to the dunkin donuts, we were late for 10 mins! In the end, both of us got scolded by my parents for being late.... But cant blame us rite, its my scandals that snapped....

Anyway we had our seafood dinner afterwards at a Orang Asli restaurant located somewhere near the seaside. Nice scenery and the food is nice too. We had steamed prawns, chilli crabs, steamed mussels, lemon chicken, sambal kangkong, steamed fish and calamari. I can say its very worth it after all cos we only need to pay $40 each for the whole day trip.

Proceeded to the second link customs after dinner and thankfully we managed to clear both customs in half an hour time cos there wasnt any traffic jam. Reached home at 9pm and all of us were exhausted after the whole day. But its was an enjoyable trip and i do look forward to such trips in future.
