I know it may sounds a bit exaggerating but its true. I was nearly moved to tears from i first stepped into the NIE campus and also when i watched the orientation video. The emotions was simply overwhelming for me. Perhaps it is because going for my further studies is a struggle for me. Neither do i have the excellent results to qualify me a place in local university nor do i have lots of spare cash to go to overseas. But at least i am glad that now i was offered a place in NIE, it was a sense of relieve for me. As for the video, it was kind of inspiring. The scene which i found it particularly inspiring is when the narrator narrates that everyone has a favourite teacher and its the favourite teacher who inspires u to be the teacher and i shall be the favourite teacher followed by a little girl drawing a teachers' day card for the teacher. Now then i realise why teachers dont like gifts on teachers' day, this is because a simple handwritten note or a card is more than enough to say thank you to the teacher.

My orientation yesterday was nothing more than briefings followed by briefings. I was offered option C which means i got to teach English, Maths and Science. Well i have decided to swap Maths for Social Studies because i usually dislike maths and i cant imagine myself teaching maths to the poor kids. Primary school maths to many may seem very easy but we got to be equipped with further mathematics skills which means i may have to take F or C maths. OMG! And furthermore, what if some kids decided to challenge me with some difficult stuffs, think i may just bang my head against the wall. Anyway its not 100% guarantee that the dean will let me swap the subject. So let me cross my fingers and toes and pray that he will allow me to change them.

And also i remembered the dean mentioning a quote to us which i finds it very interesting. This is what the quote says:" Your words will be your actions, your actions will be your habits, your habits will be your character and your character will defines your destiny." Well its up to you guys to think about the quote.
