Oh well its my big day today cos my fate for the next five years has been sealed by my signature on that agreement paper. Went to sign for the trainee teacher agreement at MOE today with Anthony and my uncle as my guarantors. Its hard looking for guarantors initially as Singaporeans usually shrink away from the thought of being someone else's guarantor. This is because if the person is to break the bond, he or she will have to pay the liquidated damages. So i am really grateful to my uncle and Anthony for helping me out.
Actually i am a little worried by the thought of signing the bond at first especially after pei wen told me her sis was posted to a notorious sec school of which the principal even warned her that teaching in that school can be quite a challenging task. However, think i shouldnt have even given it a second thought cos such good opportunity is hard to come by. Its a dream that comes true for me and since this is how my career path is laid out for me, i should accept it with a full embrace.
Anyway went for a mini celebration at a Japanese restaurant at IMM afterthat and i treated my uncle, mum, grandma and Anthony a bento set each. Food was recommendable but its rather huge in portion. Went shopping around and uncle bought me a titus watch for my 21st birthday. Well think its a little bit too early to buy my present now but on the other hand, think its a good day to buy that watch too cos its going to remind me of that date that i signed the teacher agreement forever.
So counting down two days to my last day of work on next tuesday but i already recieved a pearl necklace from mdm phang and a pair of chomel earings from my colleagues. Planning to treat them lunch on tues and think i will definetely miss that bunch of people. Anyway think its time to pack my emotions and move on.
