Hi didn’t manage to blog for a while cos I ‘ve been very busy for the past few weeks. Anyway just finished reading the book, Unhurried thoughts at my funeral by Catherine Lim of which some of the inspirational values hidden beneath the paragraphs got me thinking quite a bit. However there was this particular paragraph about the differences between men and women which I find it rather interesting.
Below is an excerpt of the paragraph: “The scientists mostly agreed that the difference lies, oddly in a similiarity of sexual psychological apparatus to serve that purpose. So although both males and females are biologically driven by the primary goal of reproducing offspring that will in turn produce offsprings that will in turn produce offsprings that will in turn produce offsprings in never ending compliance with the imperative of ‘Go forth and multiply’, they are differently predisposed in the achievement of the goal. The male strategy lies in his millions of sperms which can be dispensed freely while the female strategy lies in her one ready egg which has to be closely guarded. Hence it is in the male interest to be rampant and promiscuous, and in the female interest to be cautious and calculating. The male is happy to have any willing female, but the female wants to find the healthiest, most promising male to help her in the demanding job of child rearing. It is quantity for the male and quality for the female.
In my opinion, i rather agreed to her point of view. So how about you? Haha
