Okie its the 2nd day of chinese new year, lets see what i have done... Oh well wat a regret to say i didnt touch any of the assignments. Muhahahaha. Juz finished watching the whole series of lovers in paris.. yep nevertheless to say... sacrificing some hours of sleep cos i still need to go "angbao collecting"...
Its such a good show that i 've been finding myself in the midst of daydreaming of my prince charming haha. Anyway Park shin yang acting as Qi Joo in the show really attracted me. People are asking why dont i like the other younger guy instead of him... Hmmmm well its his charisma, strong character, clean cut look and maturity that attracted me the most. So im going to add him to my list of idols.
By the way, my family have also been teasing me on my list of idols cos all of them are quite old for my age. Ya think they'r kinda correct, i admire someone for their character and not their looks. As for the age, i prefer someone more mature cos that means they got the responsibilty and financial stability. As long as they are pleasant looking, it doesn't really matters whether they are handsome or not. Its the character that matters the most. It will also be nice if he is knowledgable, paitent and caring... Wow that will be perfect. Haha!!

Well its been a long time since i last blogged... looks like thats lots of things to update.. Alright i shall begin from last monday..
Monday: Its pharmacology test.. My goodness i nearly thought i sat for the wrong paper or perhaps im daydreaming that i'm in uni sitting for the bachelor in pharmacology paper. However, it will be nice if the above are true. Nope~ the pharmaco paper is hell!!! its soooo difficult....think the degree of difficulty is for degree fellows. ARGH!!!! i am going to get flying colours but mind you its not passing with flying colours but failing with flying colours! There's no hope for me. To think i studied real hard for this test and the outcome is so bad..really hurts me and my morale!
Thursday: Oh well its clinical chem test again.. Argh!!! Again its difficult... Even our lecturer claims that its 5 stars difficulty. Its the case studies part (we are given the patient's medical profile and we got to determine the diagnosis and also explain it) that killed us... Looks like out of 4 or 5 qns, i got 2 or more of the diagnosis wrong! Anyway, i'm not studying to be a doctor so getting the diagnosis wrong doesn't really bothers me. Haha
Friday: Its medical micro oral test and presentation. Haha the oral sounds weird right.. As if we r still in sec school.. Anyway we are suppose to answer the qns that mr yeo shot at us.. Hmmm.. hope it will be fine cos we can answer most of the qns. But we may flare rather poorly for the practical part cos we broke our agar.. Okie think thats kinda my fault cos im the one slicing and transfering the agar to the transluminator. Think my roughness broke the agar into pieces cos the agar is so thin, fragile and sticky, mr yeo even got to help us fix the pieces back..Sorrie folks. Promise i will try to be more gentle next time..
As for the presentation, think its fine nothing really unusual... except that im assigned to present the topic on dog's tapeworm so i added some puppy and doggy pictures in my slides. Haha that kinda distracted the audiences a little. Oops! Don knoe whether my marks will be deducted or not. Anyway i dont regret adding the pics cos they are too cute to be resisted! Heehee
Oh ya, looks like yc is rather a high profile person now.. Haha at first its the i weekly incident then now its her new hairstyle that stole her limelight cos she permed her hair. Frankly speaking she really looks like ms phoon from behind and even the lecturers recognised it. haha mr yeo even complimented her for being sophisicated.. Anyway, the new hair style really added a touch of feminine in her. Hmm it makes her look more attractive now. Haha im so happy for her.. Okie since its lunar new year, lets give her our blessings and hope she will find her prince charming soon. haha if she got a bf, maybe she will even be more gentle and feminine. Wow perfect!
Bought the vcds on lovers in paris.. Okie maybe u may find it weird why i bought the vcds since its already showing on tv... Its my father lor... we only got 1 tv and he dislikes watching korean dramas so i got to give up.... Anyway im going to immerse myself in the korean culture for the time being.. as for the assignments... lets leave it to mon bah.. Haha
Happy Lunar New Year!!!

Todae is my Bad Hair Day!!!! Spent 15 minutes of my precious morning, standing in front of the mirror trying to blow my fringe straight... But its a disaster! it didnt came out of what i expected to be. Think i end up looking like one of the actors in the movie, "the dumb and the dumber" Having the fringe down kinda make me look silly and sleepy.. Worst come to worst.. i cant comb back my original hair style, cos my fringe is too short...Sob sob..
Well its the auntie hairdresser who suggested a change of hair style by cutting my fringe short, combing it down and also covering up my side parting so that i will look more feminine. As it has been a long time since i changed my hair style, so i decided to give it a try.
Intially, I was quite pleased with my new hair style in the salon and the auntie also taught me how to blow my hair. Although it seems to be such a easy task for her, for me... Oh no!!! its no hope.
Alright enough of the hairy stuff... todae is yc's most embarassing day.. Haha... yc's face flushed red when she was caught reading my i weekly which ch and i advised her not to read during mr woo's tutorial. According to her, she wasn't reading the i weekly but so call "focusing" on her notes cos woo is shooting pple with qns and she is trying to "hide"... Then when woo saw her reading the i weekly again during the 5 mins break, he was smiling to himself (Btw, i'm quite curious to knoe whats so funny?). Anywayz think its fated... mr woo jus loves to target her.. Muhahahaha!!

Phew... finally the CSW and immuno quizzes are over!!!! Been holding the position of full time mugger for the past few days. think im getting panda eyes and pimples.. all thanks to the late nights of mugging mugging and mugging. Actually, i m particularly interested in majoring in immunology for my degree, but the tonnes of memory works kinda put me off for the time being. If applied immunology is already that bad, i juz cant imagine major in immunology. Heehee
Anyway Mr Ho came to our class todae to announce annual dinner and dance and gathering for CLS graduating students; and mr sng also got someone to pass down the name list for those intend to work immediately after graduation (perhaps he will help us find a job?). Okie, that really makes me feel like sp is trying hard to chase us away asap.. Again i admit im kinda fickle minded and i juz can't see the well lighted path ahead of me. If u were to ask me abt my feelings now, i can say i felt like a young child clinging on to the sleeves of an adult asking him/her not to let me go cos the corporate world is so complicated with monsters and angels out there and i don think im ready to face the world yet. Why cant there be a institution where they offer primary education all the way to graduate or even post graduate course. If thats the case, don think we will be that miserable anymore.. Okie enough of that, think im getting more more naggy.
Went to Chinatown last sunday evening with my parents and sis, its soooooooo crowded till u r practically sandwiched between strangers. People are pushing and shoving each other. 3 terms to describe the situation : Sticky bodies (the weather is kinda stuffy that day), hot temper, chaotic! There was a point that i nearly fainted due to lack of oxygen. Actually we wanted to give the newly opened stall that sells sarawak kolo noodles a try but the food stall is pathetically small and its overcrowded with diners. ARGH!!!!! i m Soooooo irritated! (a hungry person is a dangerous person) we ended in Clementi for our dinner at 9 plus.
Dont know why the pple are so excited about chinese new year. Its unlike in the olden days whereby the folks don get to eat chicken and soft drinks everyday, then i see the meaning of their chinese new year but take a look at our generation now, we can have chicken and soft drinks everyday so i don see the diff in chinese new year and normal days..

Money Money and Money.. Is money really that essential? But im sure money cant buy everything. As i grow older, i ve noticed that pple started to talk about money issues. My mum is complaining to me everyday on how little bonus she got this year.. money not enough and stuffs like that but looks like everything are linked to money issues. There she is complaining to me how money is not enough and here im telling her i wanted to go overseas for studies. Rather contradicting right.
Then at the class gathering, Ms soh was asking me whether i ever thought of upgrading my SLR camera to a digital SLR (the one that mr yeo owns). Of course im dreaming of having a digital camera and i really envy mr yeo for owning one. But but but its money again. I m a poor student, i dont hold any part time jobs and im not born with a sliver spoon. Its like everyday i even got to scrimp and save to pay my phone bills and transportation. Frankly speaking if i got extra cash, i rather save for my further studies instead of buying a digital camera.
Moreover, looks like nowadays even the neighbourhood flourist is also that realistic. When my mum approach her to ask about the price for the stupid bunch of artifical new year flowers, she gave my mum those look like i knew u cant afford it, then she said the flowers at the other corner suits HDB flats better . At that point of time, I jus feel like screaming at the flourist " WHAT DO U MEAN? ARE U LOOKING DOWN ON PPLE STAYING IN HDB FLATS? HOW DO U KNOE WE DONT STAY IN A LANDED PROPERTY!". Well its like u cant judge a book by its cover, does the pple who stays in landed property got the words " i stay in landed property" written on their foreheads?
So i jus feel that money is forever not enough! we got to constantly tell ourselves to look forward. Eg now u r staying in HDB flats, aim for a condo followed by a terrace house. OR better still.. study hard, get urself a PHD then marries someone with the same qualifications. With the combined income. im sure u can definetely afford a private housing or at least a condo.
Anywayz, im just frustrated..

Yesterdae is friday the 13th...luckily nothing weird happened but i made myself look rather silly. Had med micro presentation on BK virus and i placed an animated bug's picture as the background for one of the infection transmission slides. But during the presentation, Mr Yeo asked me whats the meaning of the picture. At the point of time, im like oh gosh! actually i jus want to add some colours into my slides. Anyway don think there is a link between bugs and virus so i was like tongue- tied. But in the end, i said the pic has no meaning and its jus cute. Haha. Ya, He gave me a "lame" look..
Had our class gathering at Marche at Heeren. Its my first time so i was quite blur. Each of us were allocated $10 budget and i had a set lunch that consists of a soup or salad, main course and a desert. Total is $9.90. Thinks its quite worth while. Its was also Sue sue's birthday, so jun yi and his gang bought her a slice of choc cake with a candle sticking on it. Sang her a birthday song and took a couple of pictures. Chitchatted and gossiped a little but the main topic of the day still surrounds university.
Argh! uni uni and uni. Its kinda getting on my nerves. I don knoe where am i going after graduation and its like Ms soh at this corner promoting Australia Uni while Mr woo is at the other corner promoting Uk uni. We are caught in the middle of this Uni "war". Sian*
Think its time to look for my lawyer boss. She is the one that will give my constructive advises. Well its been a long time since we met each other, don knoe she still remembers me or not.
Following class gathering, the nine of us went to K box. Initially we went to party world to check the prices. I was quite shocked by the decor cos its really look like those KTV lounge with mamasans. Worst still those waiters inside looks like bouncers and the receptionist is a uncle in formal coat. He looked like those gang boss. Scary! Anyway its quite ex cos at first they quoted us 9.60 each but later they add the drinks, fruits and tibits that add up to $14 ++. Not worth it.. Think i still prefer k box.
I was quite surprised that many of my classmates can sing well. jun yi whom normally speaks english, can sing mandarin songs and it sounds quite nice. Yen yen is a pro in SHE songs. Almost all the songs she can sing and it really sounds very nice. Think she kinda sounds like SHE Hebe. As for Chee Lun, didnt knoe his voice is so hoarse while singing, sounds a bit like ah Du. Haha looks like my class got the potential to join superstar!

Had a rather heated discussion with my aunt this morning and that kinda spoil my mood for the morning. Actually i'm just not happy with a statement she made and she's like unaware of the economy out there. She was telling me her friend who lives in one of those semi detached house along East Coast road and he is a cab driver.
Upon hearing that, I jus don't believe a guy driving a cab to own a landed property. but she is down there claiming that i look down on people without giving me a chance to speak up.
Hello!!! people out there... its not that i look down on those cab drivers (My dad is a bus driver too) but just take a look at Singapore's economy nowadays.. Unlike the olden days taxi drivers, the drivers are earning a modest salary sometimes even only sufficient to fill their stomachs and they still have to face stiff competition. Btw the flag down rate in Singapore is also the lowest in the world ( don't mention about exchange rates)
Worst come to worst, my aunt didnt even mention that her friend bought the landed property decades ago and he is of retiring age. Ok first if u tell me that the landed property is bought decades ago i can understand that cos property rates is definetely cheaper in the olden days.. Second, that fellow is of retiring age and his two daughters are teachers. Of course they got have the means to buy landed property with their combined income.
Anywayz i jus want to tell those people out there.. if u were of retiring age and loaded with lots of cash ( even enough to buy urself a landed property), pls for god sake, don drive a cab.. give those poor chaps out there a chance to earn more money... If u got lots of free time, do go and enrol urself in some activities!

Oh well this is my first blog of the year 2006. Been very busy for the past few days.. so looks like i got lots to catch up with. Well last week was a very very hectic week (we didn't even have time to eat a proper meal for lunch)cos we got to hand in our FYP report by fri. Yeah anyway we finally handed in our final year project report after months and months of hardwork and solid researches..Phew its really a huge load off my shoulders.. Yes! finally i can get a good nite sleep without thinking of the report. But we shouldn't be too happy for the time being cos next we got to prepare for our FYP presentation. Hmmm looks like there's going to be a 2nd round of challenge!
Last friday, Mr yeo shocked us by wanting us to present our medical microbiology powerpoint slides and that really caught us completely offguard! At first i was quite worried cos ive no idea of what i did (did that presentation slides days before i went for my vacation)and i didnt prepare.. Okie i kinda accept the fact that im going to make a shame of myself but luckily our group wasn't choosen for the presentation.. next week shall be our turn. At least we got some time to prepare. Really pitied those groups that were asked to present.. Anyway during the presentation, he shared with us some of his experiences with the student's FYP presentation that i find it to be quite amusing. For example.. if one of the lecturers ask u whether u got anything to add on besides what ur group members have mentioned. Just make sure something comes out of ur mouth even if u dont knoe what to say by saying "i support what xxxxx has said". Next towards the end of the presentation, when u r again being the same qns. just say "thank you for your attention".
Well the above is just for laughter.. i don think anyone is that brave to mention these things during ur presentation unless u r prepared to stay for another sem. He also mentioned some points that we got to take note of .. First when u greet the audiences don ever say "gd morning judges" Unless u r in for Singapore Idol. Second, don drag ur presentation as people will get bored and he claimed that all lecturers are rather kay poh.. when they r bored, they will start to gossip about ur dress code. Third is the one that i find it most amusing. All group members should look as if u all r very united and happy with ur presentation even if u all have become enemies after the project. Haha.. Looks like the lecturers will also grade us on our "acting skills".. Alright enough of all the FYP craps...
Talking about new year resolution... I don believe in making new year resolutions cos i don ever accomplish any tasks. I just felt that if u want to do something, set ur heart on it and juz work hard! There's no point writing down all these things like what we say "talk no action".
Recieved a letter of invitation from NTU regarding the seminar on all the courses that polytechnic graduates can apply. I was kinda at loss again cos i have decided to go to Uk for my further studies.. Then now NTU is offering degree in education (science). The offer is really tempting!
Frankly speaking, i loves teaching and i don think im going to test bloods and urines for the rest of my life. I yearns freedon hence i don like the feeling of being trapped in a lab 8am to 5pm doing all the routine works. Well u can say that teaching is a routine work too but u get to work with the youngsters and every sem u will get to face new challenges. But comparing a local degree in education and a UK dgree in biomedical sciences, sure the latter sounded nicer. Besides that a biomedical science degree can get me further in my field. Perhaps working in a lab is juz a stepping stone to gain work experiences and who knows in the near future i may even get a chance to be a lecturer. Sure lecturer earns much more than a secondary sch bio teacher.
On the other hand, i may be forever stuck as a sec sch bio teacher if i got a local degree in education.. Of course, if i were to go to Uk, i got to learn to become independent and self disciplined. There wouldn't be any nagging from my mum and pipping hot dinner waiting for me. The thought of having to stay in a faraway land without any family warmth kinda scares me a little. As for NTU, its sooooo near to my home and i don have to worry about school fees and other things but its going to be 3 yrs and Uk is only 1 yr. Anyway, both have their pros and cons and i cant possibly get the best of both worlds. Perhaps i may need to attend the seminar to know more about the degree in education. Its still a bit early to decide..
P.S... is there any kind souls out there willing to accompany me? ..
