Phew finally the fun fair is over and our class earned $158! Muhahaha thats a lot! Fun fair was fun but the weather is sooo hot and stuffy...all of us nearly "fainted" haha. Fortunately the chocolate fondue was a sucess. Actually i was quite surprised that Jun Yi and Bing Hong are quite attentive, u knoe guys are normally careless and they dont really think of the bits and pieces. However, i can say they really did a great job buying all the stuffs and jun yi even brought a mini fridge from home so that the blocks of chocolate wont melt under the hot sun and the apples will be cold) Oh i really took my hat off them!
Business was plain though as there were approx. 4 stalls selling the same thing as us... So fustrating. Frankly speaking, its not that im praising my class but i just think that our chocolate fondue is the best! Just imagine the warm and smooth chocolate slipping down your gullet as u swallow the apples and marshmallows! Wow the sensation is heavenly! Other stalls were just selling chocolate fondue with cheapo chocolates. One tried to coat the fruits with instant hershey chocolate and the other stall even burnt their chocolate. Haha
Its amusing that one of the customers actually complained to us that the other stall chocolate fondue is so bitter! Anywayz, many people whom tried our chocolate fondue gave us a thumb up and they were so eager to knoe where we bought the chocolate and even the fondue cooker. haha... By the way, we were very grateful to Ms Adeline koh for her kind publicity for our chocolate fondue.. think that really helps to draw some customers and Mr Joshua Sng for being our first customer of the day! Thank You
Anywayz, i can say we really enjoyed ourselves very much and i felt that setting up a stall as a class can really help to bind us together...If there's any fun fair in future, i may consider....
Oh ya there's also another thing worth mentioning... one of the customers (a couple) were guessing whether we are food technology, chemical engineering, optometry or biotech... but they didnt mention medical technology till the girlfriend said that maybe we are med techs. True enough when i told them we are medical tech.. they looked sooo surprised. Haha whats wrong with medical technology.. Guess they must be thinking med tech students are only good in handling all the human specimens and drawing blood but heehee we are actually selling delicious chocolate fondue... hahahaha
